The family-owned Vlevia Group integrates Pierre Sagaert’s livestock fattening and trading activities, consolidating its position on the French market.
After taking over the activities of Eurovlees NV in autumn 2017, the family-owned Vlevia Group (Mouscron-Tournai-Zele) continues on the path of growth and consolidation at the start of 2018! Indeed, Vlevia has just completed the integration of the activities of SA ‘Commerce de bestiaux Pierre Sagaert’ (Estaimpuis) into a new subsidiary named Vlevia Farms. Pierre Sagaert remains a partner in Vlevia Farms.
Specializing in the cutting, processing and marketing of beef, Vlevia currently carries out almost 600 slaughterings a week and employs over 100 people. The result of the January 2015 merger of the family-owned Devameat and Strobbe companies, the Vlevia Group has created a vertically integrated agricultural division within its ranks, and is now involved in virtually the entire chain, from fattening to distribution of finished products.
At the same time, the Vlevia group has also created SARL Vlevia France (Meat transport, trading and processing). Established in Villeneuve d’Ascq, this branch will reinforce the group’s development and visibility on the French market.
